Rod Martin keeps the beat for EP on drums. Bored with living in all that relentless sunshine in Wine Country, California, Rod and Wendy headed where? To the Midwest, of course. Rod auditioned for EP under the guise of being “just a drummer.” Over time, secrets were revealed. For starters, it was discovered that Rod is able to pull any harmony (even when there doesn’t seem to be one) out of thin air. He also knows every song ever written and handles requests with aplomb. Rod casually mentioned that he was familiar with country music. What he didn’t say was that he and Wendy have their own country cd out (available for sale right now!) with their California band Harmony Ridge. Since joining the band in 2008, Rod has helped EP become more spontaneous onstage, maneuver into more diverse musical territory, and experiment with original material by sharing his song-writing skills.
