September 7, 2011-- Bike Michiana for Hospice

Hi Folks... In case you haven't heard, there's a terrific cycling event taking place this weekend. The third annual Bike Michiana for Hospice takes place on September 11, 2011. Cyclists can take part in rides ranging from 3.5 - 124 miles. For more information and to register, check out their Facebook page --

http://www.facebook.com/BikeMichianaForHospice

Don't forget -- EP's on Facebook, too!
http://www.facebook.com/everydaypeopleband

Not a cyclist? No worries! $10 will gain entrance to the post-ride party at St. Pat's Park in South Bend featuring Everyday People from 12 -3:30 pm and Love Truck from 3:30 - 7pm. Your $10 donation scores pulled pork, roasted corn, a couple of Fat Tire brews, and a full afternoon of live music.

In fact, the whole event is one big musical adventure with Billy Nix Soul Review and Catman and the Allnighters at Elbel, Kennedy's Kitchen at Oronoka Lakes, and Mike Struwin at Weko Beach. And those are just the ones we know about!

Good times are everywhere in the name of helping Hospice. Since it's hard to imagine anyone who hasn't been touched, in some way, by the care, compassion, and generosity of spirit of Hospice, this event is expected to be wildly successful.

We'll see you there!

August 25, 2011 -- End of summer!

Happy Summer!

There are three opportunities to hang with EP this weekend for your country fix. We're sharing the country love in two states so we expect to see all of our friends on both sides of the Indiana/Michigan line!

1) Coveleski Stadium -- EP is delighted to be invited back to The Cove this Friday night for some post-game concert fun before the Friday night fireworks. If you have not checked out all that's new at the ball park, we encourage you to do so this weekend. EP will be performing in the new beer garden along the third base line. This is a great space! It's also a perfect opportunity to enjoy one more beautiful summer night outside with good friends, a cold brew, catch a game, and listen to all your country favorites. Game starts at 6:30 p.m. against the Ft. Wayne TinCaps. Go 'Hawks!!

For those of you who support Planned Parenthood -- Wear pink on Friday night to show it ~~

*Special Cove plug: Saturday is the first ever Teen Night. Check out the website for details and ticket prices. Woohoo!

Does South Bend have it going on or what?!

2) Cass County Conservation Club -- Corn and Sausage Roast -- EP plays from 2 - 6pm. It's an all day party, folks, and a guaranteed good time. We're looking forward to seeing all of our CCCC buds again. You've made some great requests over the past couple of years and we've added them to our ever-growing list of cool tunes. Thanks!

The band has had a couple of great experiences recently:

Opening for Ms. Loretta Lynn and the Coal Miners at the Morris Performing Arts Center is right at the top of the list of favorite things to do. We are always happy to lend our energy and talents to those events and will keep you posted as to future opportunities.

We picked up almost two dozen new fans on Facebook after the show and a couple of them shared their photos of the concert. We are very appreciative of how warm and welcoming Michiana is to us. Thank you!!

EP also had a terrific time sharing a stage with so many local musicians for the "Will Rock for Food" benefit this past Saturday night at the Elkhart DAV. The organizers report that $6,200.00 was raised and a box truck was filled with pantry items. Way to go, Michiana!! Kudos to Xers internet radio and all of the supporters, organizers and participants that made the event so successful.
